    Melfort Youth Evolution

    In 2017 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Melfort reached out to Melfort organizations to begin collaborative strategies to create better outcomes for the youth of Melfort. Community consultations commenced with the youth, youth-serving organizations, and family members with an intentional focus to engage youth in Melfort on both identity and community wellness.     Walk-in Clinic now available

    Single Session Counselling Free Walk-in single session counselling available to all members of the public in and around: Melfort, SK at 126 McKendry Ave W, from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm every Monday Nipawin SK at 218 2nd Ave E, from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm every Wednesday and Friday Tisdale SK at 1003 102nd Ave, from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm every Thursday Appointment is NOT necessary. There will be more locations where the service will be provided. Schedule is on the works. Please stay tune for updates. This service is funded by Family Services of Saskatchewan.

    7th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

    North East Outreach and Support Services’ 7th Annual ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’ event in Tisdale on May 28 was a huge success. It was the first time Tisdale hosted the event. There were 118 registered walkers donned the four-inch red high heels and walk a mile along 100 Street and back to Town Square, to raise awareness and support for victims of domestic, gender and sexualized violence in North East communities. “People are really realizing that domestic and sexualized violence have no socioeconomic, ethnic, or religious boundaries,” Louise Schweitzer ED said. “It happens to everyone.     Red High Heels Make An Appearance At The Saskatchewan Legislature

    On May 7, 2019 our Executive Director, Louise Schweitzer, had the opportunity to once again take our red high heels to the SK legislature.  This is something that she has been doing for the past couple of years as a way to introduce our provinces leaders to our organization and our mission.
